Carlos F. Acuña Broker/Realtor/Owner General Director | |
Carlos is a multilingual and bicultural Mexican national from the northern state of Sonora. He completed his higher education at the University of Arizona acquiring a degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing, and a minor in Romance Languages (French, Italian, and Portuguese). Carlos worked in the investment banking industry for several years, transferring to San Miguel de Allende in 1983. He has been a partner in the second oldest art gallery in town, Atenea Gallery, for the past 28 years, and has been involved in the real estate industry for 12 years. Carlos is a member of AMPI (Mexican Association of Professional Realtors), NAR (National Association of Realtors), and FIABCI (International Real Estate Federation). He obtained the TRC (Transnational Referral Certified) degree and is a CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist) designee. Carlos is former President (two year term 2010-2011) of the local chapter of AMPI in San Miguel de Allende and is the current President of AMAR (Mexican Association for Retirement Committees) representing San Miguel de Allende.

Isaac Uribe... Public Relations Director Property Management | |
A resident of San Miguel de Allende for the past 39 years, Isaac is from the nearby city of Irapuato in the state of Guanajuato. He is bilingual and became bicultural by spending a number of years in the USA. He travelled and lived in Europe for several years prior to moving to San Miguel de Allende. Isaac studied fine art and has been involved in the art field for many years, reason why he opened Atenea Gallery with partner Carlos Acuña in 1985. He is presently Co-owner and Managing Director of "the second oldest art gallery in San Miguel de Allende". Since the beginning of Atenea Realty Isaac became the Public Relations Director for the company, sharing his charm and excellent communication skills, his wide knowledge of the city and its people, and important relationships with old timers and new comers to San Miguel de Allende. He also currently directs the property management department.

Kathy Patterson... Sales & Rentals Associate | |
Kathy, a native Texan, is totally bi-lingual and bi-cultural. She worked for the Mexican government for 13 years perfecting her Spanish and knowledge of Mexico. She attended the University of Texas where she studied Spanish and Mesoamerican Culture. Her undergraduate degree is in Communication, with a major in Sales, Marketing, and Public Relations. In 1990, Kathy became involved along with her former husband in real estate by designing, building and selling homes and office buildings on the Monterey Peninsula. Several featured in Sunset magazine and other publications. Kathy has been living in San Miguel de Allende for close to 10 years and has been involved with the community being on the board for Casita Linda and the Red Cross Auxiliary. She started her own business called Life Saver, a Home Health/Security Alarm System over a year ago, and joined Atenea Realty in January of 2012. Kathy is able to combine her past experience and her love for Mexico into her passion–meeting people and providing real estate services with true confidence and knowledge.

Oliver Caraco... Rentals Associate | |
Oliver Caraco is a native of New York City. He studied at Rutgers University and San Francisco State University earning a BS degree in Marketing and International Relations. Oliver spent the summers of his youth in Germany, Italy and several African countries. He has even climbed Mount Kilimanjaro. After graduating Oliver took a position in Miami with Hospitalia Gmbh. Hospitalia is a division of Siemens AG that builds and remodels hospitals worldwide; Miami is their base for Latin American operations. It was in Miami that Oliver fell in love with Latin America and started learning Spanish. He worked as a purchasing agent and consolidated weekly container shipments to the Hospitalia projects in Guatamala, El Salvador, Dominican Republic, Colombia and Chile; and has spent time in all of these countries. Oliver is completely bilingual and has been living in San Miguel de Allende the past 11 years. He had been working in real estate as an independent property manager and rentals/sales agent before joining forces with Atenea Realty. Oliver is the newest associate at Atenea Realty, and is looking forward to becoming a valuable part of the Atenea Realty team.
